We welcome anyone who would enjoy knitting or crocheting shawls. Upon completion the are blessed and given to our hurting brothers and sisters in nursing homes, hospice, hospitals and private homes. What our hearts and hands create allows others to feel God's presence.
We begin each meeting with a prayer, then enjoy visiting with each other and sharing patterns. At the end of each meeting we bless the shawls, and send them with members of the group to deliver. This is a very uplifting ministry, when you see how delighted the recipients are when they receive a shawl filled with healing prayers for them. We also make blankets for the stillborn and premature babies at Rochester General Hospital.
We enjoy our time visiting together, creating and sharing our faith-filled stories. We have members from other churches in the community. All are welcome.
